Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb 1 and 1/2 lb pizza dough
  • 3 cups 3 cups rotisserie chicken, shredded
  • 8 oz 8 oz pesto (1 jar)
  • 2 cups 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Garlic Butter

  • 3 tablespoons 3 tablespoons salted butter
  • 3 cloves 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cut the pizza dough into eighths. Roll each piece into a thin strip that’s about 7 inches long. Tie them into knots and place on a baking sheet.
  • Let the knots rest for about 10 minutes. This helps them rise slightly and become fluffy.
  • While the knots are resting, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Baking the Knots

  • Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for about 12 minutes or until the knots are golden brown.
  • Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (180°C) and allow the knots to cool slightly on the baking sheet.

Assembling the Sliders

  • Once cooled, carefully cut the knots horizontally to create a top and a bottom.
  • On the bottom half of each knot, layer on the shredded chicken, a generous spoonful of pesto, and a handful of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • In a small bowl, melt the butter and mix in the minced garlic and chopped parsley. Brush this mixture over the filled knots.

Final Bake

  • Place the assembled sliders back in the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and everything is heated through.
  • Pull apart the sliders for individual servings, and enjoy your Pesto Chicken Garlic Knot Sliders!

Notes

These sliders are perfect for parties, game days, or a cozy family dinner. Serve them warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
