Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 tube 1 (14 oz) tube of refrigerated pizza dough Can use homemade pizza dough as well.
  • 5 oz 5 oz thinly sliced pepperoni Feel free to customize with other meats.
  • 1.25 cups 1 1/4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Any cheese can be used.
  • 1/4 teaspoon 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano Enhances flavor.
  • 1 each 1 egg For egg wash.
  • For dipping: marinara sauce Can substitute with ranch or garlic butter.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Lightly dust a large cutting board with flour and unroll the pizza dough into a 16x12 inch rectangle.
  • Evenly distribute the sliced pepperoni on the dough, followed by the shredded mozzarella cheese, and sprinkle with dried oregano.
  • Slice the dough into 1 1/2 inch strips along the long edge, then cut in half along the short edge to create a total of 16 pieces.
  • Roll each slice tightly from one end to the other, placing the seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Beat the egg with one tablespoon of water and brush this mixture over the tops of each roll.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 16-18 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.
  • Let them cool for a few minutes before serving with marinara sauce.

Notes

Customize fillings as per preference; store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. These rolls can be made ahead and refrigerated until ready to bake.
