Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 250 g Greek yogurt Provides a creamy texture and is higher in protein than regular yogurt.
  • 1 ripe banana Overripe bananas are sweeter and more flavorful, making them ideal for this recipe.
  • 2 tablespoons baking cocoa Adjust for sweetness; choose unsweetened for a richer chocolate taste.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon nut butter (optional) Almond or peanut butter can enhance flavor and creaminess.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mash the ripe banana very finely using a fork or blend it until smooth.
  • Stir in the Greek yogurt, baking cocoa, and vanilla extract until well mixed.
  • If using, add the nut butter to the mixture to enhance the creaminess and flavor.
  • Blend all ingredients thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and free of lumps.
  • Spoon the creamy mixture into small bowls.
  • Place in the refrigerator and chill for at least 20 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

For best texture, ensure the banana is very ripe. Adjust cocoa quantity to your chocolate intensity preference. Chill longer for a firmer consistency. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
