  • 6 oz 6 oz. hot water Water should be hot but not boiling.

  • Pre-Warm Your Mug: Start by pouring some hot water into your mug. Let it sit for about 30 seconds to warm the mug, then pour the water out.
  • Combine Ingredients: In the warmed mug, add the butter, aged rum, brown sugar, and the spices: cinnamon and cloves.
  • Add Hot Water: Carefully pour the hot water over your mixture in the mug.
  • Stir Well: Use a spoon to stir everything together until the butter is melted and the ingredients are well combined.
  • Garnish: Garnish your cocktail with a cinnamon stick or a sprinkle of grated fresh nutmeg, or both.
