Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked turkey, shredded or chopped Use leftover turkey for best flavor.
  • 1 box (6 oz) seasoned stuffing mix
  • 1 cup chicken or turkey broth Use instead of water for extra flavor.
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons butter Melted.
  • 2 large eggs Beaten.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: fresh parsley or chives for garnish
  • Optional: turkey or chicken gravy for serving

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and celery, and sauté for about 5 minutes, or until they soften.
  • Prepare the stuffing mix according to the package directions, using broth instead of water. Allow it to cool slightly.

Mixing and Shaping

  • In a large bowl, combine the prepared stuffing, cooked turkey, sautéed onions and celery, dried cranberries, and beaten eggs. Mix everything together until well combined.
  • Form the mixture into balls about the size of a golf ball using your hands or a scoop.

Baking

  • Place the stuffing balls on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside.

Serving

  • Serve warm with gravy, and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

These turkey stuffing balls are great for using up leftover turkey. You can get creative by adding herbs like thyme or rosemary for added flavor. They can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the fridge before baking.
