Ingredients

Creamy Layer

  • 8 oz Mascarpone cheese Can substitute with equal parts cream cheese and heavy cream blended together.
  • 1 cup Heavy cream Whipped until soft peaks form.
  • 1/4 cup Powdered sugar For sweetness, adjust to taste.

Coffee Dip

  • 1 cup Strong coffee or espresso Use a double shot of espresso stirred with sugar, cooled.
  • 2 tbsp Sugar To boost flavor.
  • 1 tbsp Coffee liqueur or Marsala wine Optional, for added flavor.

Cookies and Garnish

  • 12 pieces Ladyfingers Can substitute with vanilla wafers or thin butter cookies.
  • 2 tbsp Cocoa powder For dusting on top.
  • chocolate as desired Chocolate curls or coffee beans For garnish.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine mascarpone, whipped cream, and powdered sugar. Fold gently until smooth.
  • In a shallow dish, mix hot brewed coffee with sugar and optional liqueur until dissolved. Allow to cool.

Assembly

  • Quickly dip each ladyfinger in the coffee mixture (1-2 seconds per side) and layer into your serving cups.
  • Add a layer of the creamy mixture over the ladyfingers.
  • Repeat the layers until cups are filled, finishing with the creamy layer on top.

Chill & Serve

  • Chill the assembled cups in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours, preferably 4 hours.
  • Dust with cocoa powder and add chocolate curls or coffee beans before serving.

Notes

To ensure the best texture, whip cream to soft peaks, dip cookies quickly, and chill adequately for flavors to meld.
