Ingredients

For the yogurt base

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt, plain or vanilla Plain lets you control sweetness; vanilla makes it extra dessert-like.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract A little goes a long way.
  • 1 pinch Salt Enhances sweetness.
  • 1-2 tablespoons Honey or maple syrup Optional, depending on yogurt and cherry sweetness.

For the clusters

  • 1 cup Cherries, chopped Fresh or frozen; if frozen, thaw and blot to remove excess water.
  • 4 oz Chocolate for dipping Use dark, semi-sweet, or milk chocolate based on preference.
  • 1 tablespoon Coconut oil Optional; helps chocolate to coat smoothly.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, stir together Greek yogurt, vanilla extract, salt, and honey or maple syrup (if needed).
  • Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary.
  • Chop cherries into small pieces and gently stir them into the yogurt mixture.
  • Line a plate or baking sheet with parchment paper and scoop the mixture into small mounds (1 to 1.5 tablespoons each) onto the parchment.
  • Freeze the clusters until solid, at least 1.5 to 2 hours.
  • Melt chocolate in the microwave in short bursts, stirring often. Optionally, add coconut oil for a smoother consistency.
  • Dip the bottom of the clusters in chocolate or drizzle them with chocolate. Return to parchment and freeze again for 10-15 minutes to set the chocolate.

Notes

Store fully frozen clusters in a freezer bag or container, separated with parchment to prevent sticking. Best consumed within 2-3 weeks. Tips: Dry fruit well to prevent icy clusters, freeze in small batches for easier dipping, and ensure the yogurt mixture tastes slightly sweeter before freezing.
