Preparation

  • Warm the almond butter gently, usually for about 15 seconds in the microwave.
  • Add cocoa powder, maple syrup, melted coconut oil, vanilla, and salt. Stir until glossy and thick.
  • Line a small loaf pan or container with parchment paper. Press the mixture in and smooth the top.
  • Add toppings if desired, like chopped almonds or flaky salt.
  • Chill until firm; about 1 to 2 hours in the fridge or 30 to 40 minutes in the freezer.
  • Slice into small squares and enjoy. Smaller pieces are recommended as the fudge is rich.

Notes

This fudge actually improves in flavor and texture after sitting. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for up to 2 months with parchment between layers to prevent sticking.
