Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 3 pieces ripe pears Opt for ripe pears for the best sweetness and flavor.
  • 250 g cottage cheese or quark Quark is a great alternative if you prefer a lighter consistency.
  • 150 g natural yogurt Choose plain yogurt to avoid added sugars.
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

Preparation

  • Peel the pears and cut them into small pieces.
  • In a steaming basket or pot, briefly steam the pear pieces with lemon juice for about 5 minutes until soft.
  • Transfer half of the steamed pear pieces to a blender or food processor and puree until smooth.
  • In a mixing bowl, stir together the cottage cheese and yogurt until smooth.
  • Add the pear puree and cinnamon into the cottage cheese mixture and gently fold until well-combined.
  • Place the remaining pear pieces at the bottom of serving glasses and spoon the creamy mixture on top.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

For added texture, leave some pear pieces larger when pureeing. Chill the dessert longer if you prefer a firmer texture. Consider adding a sprinkle of nuts for a crunchy topping before serving. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
