Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 450 g 3 ripe pears Ripe pears are essential for sweetness and moisture.
  • 2 large large eggs
  • 160 g ground oat flakes Can be made by blending rolled oats until fine.
  • 15 g 2 tablespoons baking cocoa
  • 120 g plain yogurt Use plain yogurt for the best flavor and texture; Greek yogurt can be used for thicker consistency.
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
  • Grate two pears finely and slice the remaining pear into thin wedges.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and yogurt until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the ground oat flakes, baking cocoa, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
  • Fold the grated pears into the egg mixture, then gently mix in the dry ingredients until just combined—avoid overmixing.
  • Pour the batter into a greased baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  • Arrange the pear wedges on top of the batter.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature, possibly with a dollop of plain yogurt on top for a creamy contrast. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. If needed, reheat slices in the microwave for 10-15 seconds until warm.
