  • 2 sheets frozen puff pastry, thawed About 500g
  • 8 oz brie cheese, cut into small cubes About 225g
  • 1/4 cup jam (fig, raspberry, or apricot) About 60ml
  • 1 egg beaten Optional, for egg wash

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Unroll the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  • Cut each sheet into 12 squares, totaling 24 pieces.
  • Place a small cube of brie cheese in the center of each pastry square.
  • Top each brie cube with about 1/2 teaspoon of your choice of jam.
  • Brush the beaten egg over the exposed pastry edges for a golden color.
  • Place the pastry bites on a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch between each piece.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown and puffy.
  • Let the bites cool for 2 minutes before serving.

Notes

You can prepare the pastry bites a few hours in advance. Make sure to keep the puff pastry cold until ready to bake for the best texture.
