Pudding Base

  • 250 ml maple syrup
  • 250 ml milk
  • 100 g granulated sugar
  • 125 g unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Toppings

  • 125 g walnuts, chopped You can substitute with pecans or hazelnuts.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C. Grease a baking dish and set it aside.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, sugar, maple syrup, milk, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Fold in the chopped walnuts until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.

Baking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.

Serving

  • Serve warm, drizzled with additional maple syrup if desired.
