Ingredients

For the Pastry

  • 1 sheet puff pastry Chilled before use
  • 1 egg beaten egg For egg wash

For the Cream Filling

  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 1 tsp lime zest Additional zest for garnish
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream Gently folded into the mixture
  • 1 ripe mango, cubed For topping

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into circles or squares that fit your muffin tin.
  • Press the pastry pieces into the muffin tin and brush the tops with the beaten egg to give them a golden color when baked.

Baking

  • Bake the pastry for 12–15 minutes, or until they are puffed up and lightly golden.
  • Remove from the oven and let them cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Filling Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, lime juice, and lime zest, and whisk until smooth.
  • Gently fold in the whipped cream until everything is well combined for a light and airy lime cream.

Assembly

  • Once the pastry cups are completely cool, spoon the lime cream mixture into each cup, filling them generously.
  • Top each tartlet with cubed mango pieces and sprinkle a little extra lime zest on top for garnish.

Chilling

  • Place the tartlets in the refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Keep the puff pastry chilled before working with it to ensure it puffs up beautifully. You can customize your toppings with other fruits like strawberries or kiwi.
