Ingredients

For the Marinade

  • 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce Use tamari for gluten-free.
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh Ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper

For the Salmon Bites

  • 1 pound Salmon Fillet, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes (450 g)
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch Key for achieving crispy texture.
  • Cooking Spray
  • Fresh Cilantro for garnish (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Seeds, for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, sesame oil, grated ginger, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Stir well until the honey is fully dissolved.
  • Add the salmon cubes to the marinade. Gently toss to coat all the pieces evenly. Allow the salmon to marinate for 15-30 minutes for maximum flavor.
  • After marinating, remove the salmon bites and sprinkle cornstarch over them. Gently toss again to coat the salmon cubes with cornstarch evenly.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the salmon cubes in a single layer, ensuring they don’t overlap.
  • Air fry the salmon at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes, turning halfway through, until they are golden and crispy.

Serving

  • Once cooked, remove the salmon bites from the air fryer. Garnish with fresh cilantro and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

These crispy bites are best served warm. Pair them with a side of steamed rice, a fresh salad, or enjoy them on their own. A squeeze of fresh lemon juice on top can add an extra zing! To spice it up, add red pepper flakes to the marinade for heat.
