Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 500 g boneless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized cubes (about 1 pound)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Spices and Seasonings

  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for a hint of spice)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Garnish

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

Preparation

  • Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  • Add the chicken pieces in a single layer and let them sear without stirring for about 3-4 minutes until a golden crust forms.
  • Flip the chicken carefully and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked through and lightly crispy on the outside. Remove the chicken from the pan and set it aside.

Cooking

  • Reduce the heat to medium and add the butter to the same pan. Allow it to melt, then stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds or until fragrant.
  • Sprinkle in the paprika, oregano, thyme, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and black pepper, and stir well to combine.
  • Return the cooked chicken to the pan and toss it in the garlic butter herb sauce, ensuring each piece is thoroughly coated.
  • Allow the chicken to cook in the sauce for an additional 2 minutes to meld the flavors.
  • Remove from heat and sprinkle fresh parsley over the chicken.

Notes

Chicken Options: Use chicken thighs for a more succulent bite. Herb Variations: Try different herbs like basil or thyme. Extra Garlic: Add more cloves for a stronger garlic flavor. Can be made ahead and reheated.
