Ingredients

For the yogurt mixture

  • 2 medium ripe bananas The riper, the sweeter.
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt or vanilla Greek yogurt Greek yogurt makes it thicker.
  • 3-4 tablespoons peanut butter Creamy is easiest.
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup Optional for extra sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Optional but enhances flavor.
  • 1 pinch salt Balances sweetness.

For coating

  • 1.5-2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark) Melt for dipping.
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil or neutral oil Helps chocolate melt smoother.

Optional toppings

Instructions

Preparation

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, mash the bananas until mostly smooth.
  • Stir in Greek yogurt, peanut butter, honey, vanilla extract, and salt, then taste and adjust sweetness.
  • Scoop the mixture into mounds on the lined baking sheet, about 1.5 tablespoons each.
  • Freeze until solid, approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.

Coating

  • Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 20-30 second bursts and stirring until smooth.
  • Dip each frozen mound into melted chocolate and place back on parchment paper.
  • Add toppings immediately, before the chocolate sets.
  • Freeze again for 15-20 minutes until chocolate is set.

Storage

  • Store in a freezer bag or container, ideally layered with parchment paper.

Notes

For best results, ensure bananas are very ripe. Allow clusters to sit at room temperature for a minute before biting if the chocolate is too hard.
