Ingredients

Truffle Ingredients

  • 8 ounces white chocolate, finely chopped Use high-quality white chocolate for best results.
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 large zest of lemon Freshly grated.
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Use pure vanilla extract for best flavor.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)
  • a pinch salt

Instructions

Make the Truffle Mixture

  • In a heatproof bowl, combine the chopped white chocolate and heavy cream. Melt using a double boiler method or microwave in short bursts until smooth.
  • Once melted, mix in the lemon zest, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.

Chill and Shape

  • Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, then cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1-2 hours until firm.
  • Scoop out small amounts of the mixture and roll into balls about 1 inch in diameter. Dust your hands with powdered sugar if it is too sticky.

Finish and Serve

  • Roll each truffle in powdered sugar to coat completely and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Chill the truffles for an additional 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. They can also be frozen for later enjoyment.
