Ingredients

For the flatbread

  • 1 store-bought flatbread or naan (10-12 inches) 1 store-bought flatbread or naan (10–12 inches / 25–30 cm)
  • 4 oz 4 oz (115 g) brie cheese, sliced or cubed Brie cheese can be sliced or cubed.
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup (35 g) dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup (30 g) toasted walnuts, chopped
  • 1 tbsp 1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil To brush on the flatbread.
  • 2 tbsp 2 tbsp (30 ml) hot honey (or honey mixed with chili flakes) Adjust spiciness to taste.

For garnish (optional)

  • to taste Fresh thyme leaves Optional garnish for color and flavor.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the flatbread on the prepared baking sheet and brush it lightly with olive oil.
  • Evenly distribute the sliced or cubed brie on top of the flatbread.
  • Sprinkle the dried cranberries and chopped toasted walnuts over the brie.

Baking

  • Bake in the oven for 8–10 minutes, or until the brie is melted and the edges of the flatbread are golden brown.
  • Once out of the oven, drizzle with hot honey while it’s still warm.
  • If desired, garnish with fresh thyme leaves for a touch of color and flavor.
  • Slice into pieces and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve with sliced apples or pears, or alongside a light salad and citrus-infused sparkling water for a gourmet touch. Cheese options can be swapped out for goat cheese or sharp cheddar.
