Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Grease a baking dish with butter or oil to prevent sticking. Layer the sliced potatoes evenly in the dish.
  • In a bowl, mix the heavy cream, minced garlic, melted butter, chopped herbs, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Pour the creamy mixture over the layered potatoes, ensuring all slices are well-coated.

Baking

  • Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
  • After 45 minutes, remove the foil and return the dish to the oven, baking for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  • Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Potatoes can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated. Add extra cooking time if baked straight from the fridge. Consider adding cheese layers for added creaminess.
