Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 pieces ripe bananas Should be soft and speckled for the best sweetness.
  • 120 g shredded coconut Unsweetened if preferred.
  • 60 g oats Rolled or quick oats.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas finely using a fork or potato masher until smooth.
  • Stir in the shredded coconut and oats until well combined.
  • Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes to allow the oats to absorb moisture and swell.
  • Using your hands, shape the mixture into small balls, about the size of a golf ball, and place them on a lined baking tray.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the balls turn golden brown and firm to the touch.
  • Remove from the oven and let them cool completely, as they will firm up as they cool.

Notes

These balls are delicious on their own but can also be enjoyed with yogurt or honey. Store in an airtight container for 2-3 days at room temperature or up to a week in the fridge.
