Ingredients

For the chocolate balls

  • 100 g butter Browned for flavor
  • 3 dl oats
  • 1 dl cane sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 4 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp cold water
  • 1 dl dried cranberries
  • 2 dl shredded coconut For coating
  • 40 g sprinkles For coating

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by melting the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until it becomes lightly browned and releases a nutty aroma.
  • Pour the browned butter over the oats in a mixing bowl and stir well to combine.
  • Add the cane sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, cocoa powder, and cold water to the oat mixture and stir until well blended.
  • Toss in the dried cranberries and mix until evenly distributed.
  • Place the bowl in the fridge for about 30 minutes to firm up the mixture.
  • While chilling, combine the shredded coconut and sprinkles in a small bowl.
  • Remove the chilled mixture and form small balls with your hands.
  • Roll each ball in the shredded coconut and sprinkles mixture until well-coated.

Notes

These chocolate balls are delightful served at room temperature. Pair them with milk or coffee. Variations can include different dried fruits or nuts for added texture.
