  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed) (200 g)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (100 g)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (315 g)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dried cranberries (150 g)
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips (optional) (170 g)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until the mixture is smooth and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, blending well.
  • Fold in the dried cranberries, orange zest, and white chocolate chips if you’re using them.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week. Add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg for extra flavor. For bigger cookies, adjust baking time accordingly.
