Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 450 g beef sirloin, sliced Use tender cuts for best results.
  • 225 g noodles (such as egg noodles or rice noodles) Choose based on your preference.
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, and carrots) Fresh or frozen vegetables can be used.

Sauce ingredients

  • 45 ml soy sauce
  • 30 ml oyster sauce
  • 15 g cornstarch To thicken the sauce.
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 5 g ginger, minced

Cooking supplies

  • 30 ml vegetable oil For stir-frying.
  • Salt and pepper To season to taste.
  • Sesame seeds (optional) For garnish.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large pot, cook the noodles according to package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, minced garlic, and minced ginger until well combined.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the sliced beef to the skillet and stir-fry for about 3-5 minutes, or until browned.
  • Toss in the mixed vegetables and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until they become tender but still crispy.
  • Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and vegetables. Cook while stirring until the sauce has thickened, usually about 1-2 minutes.
  • Add the cooked noodles to the skillet, tossing everything together to ensure the noodles are well coated with the sauce.
  • Sprinkle in salt and pepper to your liking, mixing well.

Serving

  • Plate your stir fry and garnish with sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

Feel free to substitute beef with chicken, shrimp, or tofu for a different spin. Use your favorite vegetables! For some heat, consider adding sliced chili peppers or a dash of chili sauce to the stir fry.
