Main Ingredients

  • 3 pieces ripe pears, halved and cored Anjou or Bosc pears work great.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter Can use either.
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup Adjust to taste.
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon Just a sprinkle for flavor.
  • 4 oz Brie cheese, cut into small cubes Can substitute with goat cheese or cheddar.
  • 1/3 cup chopped walnuts, toasted Can substitute with pecans or almonds.
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries Add for sweetness.
  • to taste fresh rosemary or thyme For garnish, optional.
  • to taste tbsp extra honey for drizzling Optional for added sweetness.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Halve the pears lengthwise and scoop out the cores.
  • Arrange the pear halves cut-side up in a small baking dish.
  • Brush each pear with olive oil or melted butter. Drizzle with honey or maple syrup, then sprinkle with a pinch of cinnamon.
  • Place Brie cubes into each pear’s hollow center. Top with toasted walnuts and cranberries.

Baking

  • Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until the pears are fork-tender and the cheese is melted.
  • For a beautiful golden edge, broil for the last 1–2 minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.

Serving

  • Garnish with fresh rosemary or thyme and a final drizzle of honey if desired. Serve warm.
