Ingredients

Base Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats Also known as old fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk For a clean, creamy base
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds For thickness and extra fiber
  • 1-2 tsp maple syrup or agave To taste
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract Adds warmth and flavor
  • 1 pinch salt To balance sweetness

Toppings

  • fresh fruit (e.g., berries, banana, peach, mango, chopped apple) For sweetness and texture
  • 1 spoonful nut or seed butter Optional, almond butter is great
  • toasted nuts (almonds or walnuts) For crunch
  • ground cinnamon or cardamom To match fruit choice

Instructions

Preparation

  • Add rolled oats and chia seeds to a jar.
  • Pour in almond milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  • Stir well until all oats are wet and chia seeds are dispersed.
  • Seal and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  • In the morning, stir and adjust sweetness with more maple syrup if needed.
  • Top with your choice of fresh fruit, nuts, and a drizzle of nut butter.

Notes

Choose rolled oats for the best texture. Stir twice to distribute chia seeds evenly. The base keeps for 3 days in the fridge; add berries right before serving for freshness.
