Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 10 oz 10 oz biscuits (store-bought or homemade) Gluten-free oat-based biscuits can be used.
  • 7 oz 7 oz hazelnut spread Classic chocolate hazelnut spread or homemade with hazelnut butter and white chocolate.
  • 7 oz 7 oz milk chocolate Dark or white chocolate can be used based on preference.
  • 1.5 oz 1.5 oz finely chopped hazelnuts Provides a crunchy, nutty crust resembling Ferrero Rocher.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Break the biscuits into irregular chunks, then gently roll over them with a rolling pin to flatten slightly.
  • Transfer the biscuit pieces to a large bowl. Add the hazelnut spread and mix thoroughly until all biscuit bits are evenly coated.
  • If too sticky, chill in the refrigerator for 10 minutes or freezer for 3-5 minutes.
  • Using a teaspoon or small cookie scoop, take generous portions of the dough and roll into balls about 1 inch in diameter.

Chocolate Coating

  • Melt the chocolate gently in a double boiler or microwave in short bursts, stirring frequently until smooth and silky.
  • Stir the finely chopped hazelnuts into the melted chocolate for texture.
  • Using tweezers or a fork, dip each ball into the chocolate-hazelnut mixture, allowing excess chocolate to drip off.
  • Repeat until all balls are coated and place on parchment paper.
  • Refrigerate for 20 minutes or until the chocolate hardens.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. Best served chilled. Avoid reheating as it may melt the chocolate shell.
